Join us for a Women-only Firearm Cleaning Class!
About the Class
If you’re like a LOT of other women, you’ve been to our class, you’ve either purchased your own firearm or you went shopping in the safe of your significant other(!), and you’re wondering, “Now how do I clean this darn thing?“
We’ve been asked over and over to do a class on firearm cleaning and HERE IT IS!
This course is small–and full of personalized attention. When you join us for this course, you’ll enjoy:
- New independence in disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling your firearm (I can do it MY OWN DAMN SELF, thank you very much!)
- Confidence in your ability to properly maintain your firearm
- Understanding of how often you need to clean YOUR firearm for YOUR intended purpose (never mind what so-called “experts” say online)
- Being YOUR OWN DAMN HERO
- The company of other women–where there are no dumb questions–only new things to be learned.
If you’re looking for an opportunity to join other women in learning the basics about firearms cleaning, this Women-only Firearm Cleaning Course is for you.
We’ve taught over 900 women during the last 4 years and we LOVE seeing them thrive after our course, developing huge confidence as a result of their dramatic increase in competence.
What You’ll Learn:
For so many women, cleaning the firearm is a big, scary deal. Everyone says, “just YouTube it!” but so often those Youtube videos assume you’ve disassembled 10,000 firearms before. And they leave out super critical steps that you as a new firearm owner need to know! Or the video is so blurry you can’t see where the critical washer goes!
We’re going to help you through this and make cleaning your firearm a no-brainer. It’ll no longer be the big scary deal. We’ll teach you just like we have in our other courses, so you walk away feeling like the biggest badass on the range with your newfound competence. And with that competence comes confidence in your ability to continue to enjoy your new hobby and most importantly, ability to protect yourself and your loved ones.
In this course you’ll learn:
- Basic firearm safety rules and safe gun handling (because of course we review this EVERY time we handle firearms!)
- The parts and operations of the firearm you bring
- How to disassemble (field strip) your own firearm
- The easiest way to clean out accumulated gunk, grit, lint, and anything else lurking in the corners
- How to lubricate your firearm, without messing up critical parts like the sear that CANNOT BE LUBRICATED
- How to reassemble your own firearm–without locking it up because you missed that one simple trick
- Rules of thumb for how often you need to clean your firearm based on your intended use
Course Specifics
We’re running this course on a Friday night in an attempt to avoid your super-busy weekends. And help you get ready for Ladies Day on the 3rd Saturday of every month!
The course is held at our super comfortable Enumclaw classroom, and runs from 6:00pm to 8:30pm or so. Short and sweet!
We expect this will be more than plenty of time for everyone to finish. You’re welcome to stay and chat with new friends if you finish early, or you may choose to leave after you’re firearm is reassembled and lubricated!
You’ll bring your favorite firearm (just one, please!). If you already have a cleaning kit, please bring it! Your cleaning kit should at the very least have a bore snake or other barrel-cleaning tool, cleaning rag, good quality cleaner, good quality lubricant, q-tips or swabs. If you’d like to purchase one of ours, you’re welcome to add it to your cart when you check out.
During your registration, you’ll describe the make and model of your firearm. We’re focusing on common firearms for this course, as we’re not setup to do on-site gunsmithing for this class. If your firearm requires special tools to disassemble (or is an historical heirloom) we’ll invite you to bring a different firearm.
Bring a BarrelBlok. If you’ve been to our recent Home Defense classes you’ll have one. If you don’t have one, please purchase one at checkout. This is a fantastic device that is inserted into the barrel from the back (breach), and snugly seats into the chamber. Because it fills the chamber it eliminates the risk of ammunition being inserted into the firearm. Because the orange tip protrudes out through the muzzle, your firearm is instantly visible as SAFE from anywhere in the room. This is also a GREAT dry fire tool that helps you dry fire knowing there is NO POSSIBILITY of feeding live ammo into your firearm.

We’ll start EXACTLY on time. If you come late, we WILL struggle to get you started in the disassembly process. DON’T BE LATE!
Feel free to bring drinks/snacks if you desire. But beware, your hands might be covered in gunk….
Please leave your ammo at home.
Course requirements
This course is for women only, and only for graduates of our previous Women-Only Basic Protection Course.
Tuition for the course is $50 $35 per person. We’re doing the first couple of courses at a big discount from what the course is actually worth so we can get your feedback to refine it (like we have with every other course!).
We love it when you bring your friends with you! Feel free to add their email addresses to the registration form and they’ll be sent an email to complete their registration

Who are your instructors?
We are passionate about teaching women to protect themselves and their loved ones, enabling them to embark on their next adventure with confidence and security. All four of us are certified NRA instructors. We’ve been teaching classroom and practical programs for nearly two decades.
Curtis is the lead instructor, with nearly 20 years of training experience with people of all ages. He is an NRA-certified instructor for NRA Pistol, Home Defense, Personal Protection Inside the Home, and Black Powder programs. He is also an NRA-certified Range Safety Officer.
Becky is the reason we started all of this. She was tired of being dismissed in firearms training courses and having to prove that she was a better shot than the instructor before she was welcomed into the club. She is adamant that women just need the opportunity to learn new skills in order to perform comparably. She has a degree in psychology which she leverages heavily to help women understand how to defend themselves. Becky is an NRA-certified instructor for NRA Pistol and is assisting in this course.
Kelsey has been shattering stereotypes her whole life. She enjoys challenging assumptions of what women are capable of doing. When not in business dress, she does 50-mile hikes and enjoys shooting the largest production revolvers and semi-automatic handguns available in the US (truly ‘big-ass’ handguns!). She is an NRA-certified instructor for NRA Pistol and is assisting in this course.
Katon is our resident armorer and firearms expert. He has been actively shooting for nearly a decade and enjoys defensive and competitive shooting. He is a Master-level USPSA competition shooter, an active mini-3-gun competitor, and actively teaches others how to compete effectively. He is an NRA-certified instructor for NRA Pistol and is assisting in this course.
We look forward to having you join us!
